2019 Graduation Mass & Commencement Exercises
The 2019 Graduation Mass & Commencement Exercises of Divine Mercy University (DMU) will be held on Saturday, May 11th, 2019 at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in the Grand Upper Church at 11AM EST.
During the 18th Commencement Exercises of the university’s history, 87 degrees will be conferred between DMU’s two schools: the Institute for the Psychological Sciences and the School of Counseling. These degrees include Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology, Master of Psychology, Master of Science in Psychology and Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Graduates come from 29 states and 10 various countries, including Nigeria, Ghana, Trinidad, Ecuador, Australia, Mexico, Canada, United Kingdom, South Korea and Ireland. This year is the first graduation cohort of the School of Counseling, as the program began in 2016.
Most Rev. Joseph E. Strickland, Bishop of the Diocese of Tyler, Texas, will be the Principal Celebrant and homilist of the Graduation Mass. Mr. Daniel D’Aniello, Co-Founder and Chairman Emeritus of The Carlyle Group, will receive the Honorary Degree and present the 2019 Commencement Address. Dr. Gregory Bottaro, IPS Class of 2012, will receive the Distinguished Alumni Award.
