Dr. Pecoraro is a licensed psychologist in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Virginia. She has worked as a research associate with the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and as a co-investigator with the NIDA Clinical Trials Network, Delaware Valley Node at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Pecoraro has research and clinical interests in: improving addictions treatment; the use of psychological techniques to help medically ill people (especially those with HIV); forgiveness and virtues in psychotherapy; the integration of Thomistic Catholic/Christian anthropology into psychotherapy; positive psychology and human formation; and the use of psychological science to enrich Catholic/Christian inner healing work and ministry.
Dr. Pecoraro earned her graduate degrees in clinical psychology at the Institute for Graduate Clinical Psychology of Widener University and completed an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship, also at Widener University, with rotations at the NorthEast Treatment Center and the Treatment Research Institute in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Pecoraro completed a NIDA T32/NRSA postdoctoral research fellowship at the Center for the Study of Addictions of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA.
