Continuing education & leadership curriculum

$1,450,000

Two programs under one faculty investment. Both draw on the same body of work — DMU's integration of psychology, philosophy, and theology into a coherent account of the human person — and both reach audiences the university does not currently serve.

What is being built

Two programs, one faculty investment

Program one

Continuing education in the CCMMP

A continuing education curriculum for licensed mental health professionals who already hold advanced degrees. These clinicians have their clinical training but have never been taught to integrate the Catholic Christian Meta-Model of the Person into their practice.

The market is large and unserved: thousands of Catholic clinicians practicing without a coherent framework for relating their faith to their clinical work.

Who it serves: counselors, psychologists, social workers, marriage and family therapists.
Program two

Leadership formation

DMU's understanding of the person — the integration of psychology, philosophy, and theology — gives it a distinctive vantage on what leadership actually is and what forms it.

This is not another MBA with a chapel. It is formation grounded in a complete anthropology.

Who it serves: leaders in Catholic institutions, diocesan administration, healthcare, education, and ministry.

Why they are one request and not two. The largest single line below is faculty engagement, and it is shared. The same subject-matter experts who can teach a clinician to work from the CCMMP are the ones who can ground a leadership curriculum in it. Funding the programs separately would buy that faculty time twice.

Ordered by size rather than by sequence. Bar length is proportional to dollars; the largest line item fills the track. Contingency is shown in gray because it is a reserve against the other lines rather than a spend category of its own.

One dependency worth naming

$150,000 of this request assumes the studio exists

Video production is priced at internal rates

The video production line is costed on the assumption that filming happens in the curriculum development studio — the separate $650,000 request. Two programs' worth of filmed instruction at $150,000 is an internal-facility number, not an agency number.

If the studio is not funded, that line either buys substantially less finished content at outside production rates, or it needs to grow. This is the strongest argument for funding the studio first, or for funding both together: the studio is the cheaper of the two requests and it lowers the delivered cost of the more expensive one.

What it returns

Revenue path

$100K–$200K
CE program ARR in Year 1, as licensed professionals enroll in individual modules
Year 2
Leadership program launches, priced by cohort rather than by module
$700K–$1.0M
Combined ARR from both programs by Year 5

Read Year 1 as F+1 to F+365. Consistent with the launch milestone schedule, program years here count from the funding event rather than from a calendar year. Two items inside this budget have external clocks that do not move with funding: accreditation and CE credit approval run on the approving bodies' review cycles, and pilot testing with partner institutions runs on academic terms. Both should be started as early in the funded period as the curriculum drafts allow.
