Biography
Dr. Pecoraro is a licensed clinical psychologist and registered nurse. She has taught at the Institute for the Psychological Sciences at Divine Mercy University since 2015 in the in-person doctoral (PsyD) and online masters in psychology (MSP) programs; she has served as a doctoral dissertation and master’s thesis chair. Dr. Pecoraro currently teaches in the MSP. She maintains a private practice focusing on improving people’s flourishing, especially among people suffering from addictions and/or betrayal trauma. Her research focuses on developing evidence-based interventions that combine research-backed psychological techniques with the methods of the Desert Fathers. Dr. Pecoraro is also a musician and visual artist. Her recent book, Emotional Healing through the Lord’s Prayer with St. John Chrysostom, is available in two editions (with quotes from the New American Bible Revised Edition or King James Version) on Amazon.com.
