0:06Good afternoon. My name is Fernando Suarez, and I'll be helping you with the process of financial aid. As soon as you start working with admissions with your application, you will get from us a welcome email. That welcome email has all the detailed information of what you need to do related to financial aid, so read it carefully. There are two different things in this process. The first one is related to federal student loans. The email has a link for you to complete your FAFSA application, which is needed if you are using student loans. Once you have completed the application, let us know by sending us an email confirmation. If you are not using student loans, then also let us know. There is no need for you to complete the FAFSA application if you are not using student loans.
0:58If you are not a US citizen or a green card holder, then you are not eligible for federal loans, and in that case, we will need from you to complete the international student aid form that was included in our email. The second step. As soon as we hear from you on anything related to step one, then we will reach out to you to schedule a financial aid overview. It is a ten to twenty minutes phone call to go through any details and questions about loans or scholarships. The university has a wide variety of scholarships and discounts that you can find on our website. I suggest you to go and look at them before we have the overview call. During that call, we will give you details on how to apply for those scholarships and also the next steps that are needed before we grant you an award.
1:57You can email us with any questions to financialaid@divinemercy.edu. Thank you very much for your time.
