0:05Divine Mercy University offers a psychology program that focuses on the Catholic Christian vision of the person. We learn to serve the whole person. We are given tools to be educated as helping professionals, as well as tools to learn how to work and help with a wide variety and diversity of people. The Catholic Christian Meta Model, the human person is is why I'm here, both for my own sake as well as the sake of my future clients. The Catholic Christian Meta Model allowed me, forced me in a way to see the whole person and not just one aspect. That was brilliant. And so I use that every day in interactions with clients. I go back to the Catholic Christian meta model of a person every time I have a difficult point.

0:59And I just go through and I remind myself that this person is beautiful and deserves to be happy. And I'm amazingly thankful being able to experience Divine Mercy University and everything that they've given me and to also bring that to the world. All the studies, we look at the scientific studies or academic, we look at them through this lens, this lens of the Catholic Christian, we develop the person, and we understand it in a deeper way. Enriches everything we study and we learn. And so this is something that has been very valuable for me. I think that the Catholic Christian meta model of the person is very unique compared to what other counseling programs have to offer because the meta model acts as a framework for me as the clinician to view my client as comprehensively as possible.

1:53The client's strengths and weaknesses, biases and virtues, to uphold their unique personal identity. The Catholic Christian, vision of the human person and the Catholic Christian vision of flourishing. And now I'm using it to help task to go through the difficult challenges they are going through. The Catholic Christian meta model of the person, as the foundation to almost every course that we took, really solidified a good anthropology of a human person that not only applies to, yes, psychology, which it has its roots in because it does come from the diversity of diversity, but that meta model has applications outside of it as well, which I'm currently also using right now.
