Providence Drum Troupe (PDT) -Under Direction of David Lee Black

This musical group includes dancers, vocalists, percussionists, and even circus performers. The award-winning PDT performs in various locations throughout New England on a regular basis.   On occasion, the troupe also performs at music festivals in Texas, New York, and the Mardi Gras celebration in New Orleans. 

The main mission of the Providence Drum Troupe is to bring unity, peace, and harmony to our audiences.  We music, dance, and creative expression therapeutically with Alzheimer’s patients and also with the youth and their families at libraries and schools in RI and MA. We also volunteer at festivals that specifically reach out to the needy throughout the community. Dr. Vale helps to guide the drum troupe when working with the elderly and those affected with dementia.  The PDT has future plans to spread our mission of  peace and unity through music and the creative arts internationally.
