Blessing of the St. Dymphna Chapel
Here at Divine Mercy University we are eagerly anticipating the completion of our new St. Dymphna Chapel, and we invite you to join us for the blessing of our chapel.
We are looking forward to this beautiful space for prayer and the Sacraments – a place where we can bring our intentions and the mission of DMU to the feet of Our Lord, and pray for His healing presence in our families, communities, and those we serve. Our chapel is especially dedicated to those suffering from mental afflictions, to their families and friends, and to those who seek to accompany, treat, and heal them.
St. Dymphna is the patron saint of those suffering from mental and nervous disorders. In addition, we honor other patron saints who have a connection to the mission of Divine Mercy University, including: St. Faustina, St. Mark Ji, St. Josephine Bakhita, St. Benedict Joseph Labre, and St. Thérèse of Lisieux and her parents Ss. Louis and Zelie Martin.
The Mass will be on Saturday, September 21st beginning at 11:00 am ET. Our main celebrant will be The Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge, Bishop of Arlington, Virginia.
Please click on this link on September 21st to join us for the Mass via live-stream.
Be assured that we will be praying for you and your intentions in our new chapel! If you have any specific prayer requests, please send them to us by clicking here, and your intentions will be placed in and prayed for in the St. Dymphna Chapel.
May God be praised with this joyful occasion!
