Biography

Dr. Van Dillen is a licensed psychologist with education and training in clinical neuropsychology (Ph.D.), clinical psychology (M.S.) and experimental psychobiology (M.S.) with postdoctoral fellowships in clinical neuropsychology (Tufts New England Medical Center), pediatric neuropsychology (Duke University) traumatology and neuroimaging (University of Texas Southwestern Medical School).  His clinical and consulting experience spans 27 years working at various federal, state and private organizations. He has lead collaborative efforts on topics of resilience, recovery, and reintegration among the nation’s military communities, warriors, and families. His research interests include neuropsychology assessment, traumatology, and clinical and organizational resilience.  He has taught courses in Biological Bases of Behavior, Developmental Traumatology, Child & Adolescent Neuropsychological Assessment, Advanced Psychological Assessment, Research Methods and Statistics and Clinical Neuropsychology. He has supervised both practica experiences and APA internships. Prior academic appointments include St. Louis University Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery (research), The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (clinical), and Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (clinical).
